Not all action is created equal
Your dream matters. If you don’t prioritize it, no one will.
Do you take great pride in checking the boxes on your do list?
Perhaps you’ve even added something to the list, after it’s done, just to have the pleasure of crossing it off. Yup, been there, done that!
You’re a doer and having a sense of completion is awesome. It becomes a trap however when your desire to get things done (checking boxes) holds you back from getting the things done that truly matter to you.
There are times when we want to clear the slate before we get started on something big. But when an endless list, day after day, gets in your way of making time for the big thing (that thing that really matters to you!) that’s when you’re in a trap. And your big beautiful dream or project never sees the light of day.
Here’s the truth - You will have no problem finding and completing enough tasks to fill your day.
You may have heard the analogy of the sand and the jar… If you fill the jar with sand and try to then put in the big rock, it won’t fit. But if you put the big rock (or your dream) in first, the sand will fill in the cracks and fit in.
Do your most important thing first.
Remember, your dream matters. If you don’t prioritize it, no one will.
