Know what you want.
At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.
- Lao Tzu
Are you living a life of your own design? Or are you on autopilot, doing all the things you "should" do without ever asking yourself what you truly want your life to be?
Today we’re going to push the pause button so you can do just that.
Here’s the truth…. The clearer you are about what you want, the better your chance is of actually achieving it. You’ll be more intentional about the choices you make, how you show up in the world and how you spend your time. Clarity is power. And deciding what it is that you really want to achieve or experience is the first step to getting there.
WRITING PROMPT: Best Life Exercise (based off research by Dr. Laura King)
Think about your life in the future - 5 years or 10 years from now, whichever is most compelling for you. Imagine that everything has gone as well as it possibly could. You have worked hard and succeeded at realizing your goals. Everything you’ve ever wanted to achieve and experience has come to fruition. Now, take 20 minutes to write what you imagine. Don’t be surprised if it feels a bit overwhelming, just go back to it the next day and you’ll likely have more thoughts to add. There is a benefit to repeating this exercise, in fact, Dr. King suggests you do the exercise 3 or 4 times.
